Seattle Therapist contact infoSeattle Psychologist entrance

I am now accepting members for a new general therapy group.

I mentor once told me that people talk about their issues in individual therapy, while in a therapy group they live them. I have found great truth in this (though I believe people live their issues in individual therapy as well, albeit in different ways).

A group is an enormously effective place to learn the skills and attitudes required for relating in a more intimate way. My experiences with - and research into - this kind of group has shown that it can be extremely effective for those seeking increased self-knowledge and healthier, more nourishing relationships with those most important to them.

In short, the group would be appropriate for adults of all ages and backgrounds looking to better understand themselves and how they go about relating to others.

Since group work is unfamiliar to many, likely you have plenty of questions. I discuss my approach to groups in general here on my Services page.

If you're interested and would like to learn more, I encourage you to contact me and I'd be happy to discuss the group with you by phone. After that, if we agree, we would schedule a time to meet to discuss the group face-to-face and mutually determine if joining is a good idea at this time.
